Fighting Illini Junior Guard Ayo Dosunmu is this week's player of the week. Dosunmu is coming off back-to-back 30 point games against Penn State and Indiana.

This is somehow Dosunmu's first player of the week award which is mindboggling to me, but it shows how hard it is to play in this league and excel. This is the second award for the team, Sophomore big man Kofi Cockburn won Player of the Week earlier in the season. Here are just a few of the things that Ayo has done this season:
-Averaged 30-4-5 in the Penn State and Indiana Wins
-Shot 57% from FG, 60% from 3PG, and 87.5% from the free-throw line
-Game high 30 points and 5 assists vs Indiana
How this is his first Player of the Week award is insane to me, but he was also snubbed from multiple season-ending awards last season.
